As the Beacon Centre for the Blind prepares to celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2025, the charity is reaching out to the public to help guide the future of its services.
Established in 1875, Beacon has been dedicated to supporting people with sight loss and empowering them to live well. Over the years, it has adapted and grown, and now it wants to ensure it’s meeting the current and future needs of its community.
Everyone is invited, whether they have used its services, supported the charity, or are simply interested in helping, to take part in a short online survey. The feedback will help Beacon understand the best ways to continue making a difference as the organisation enters an exciting new chapter.
Lisa Cowley, CEO of Beacon, said: “As we celebrate this incredible milestone, we want to look ahead and ensure we are continuing to serve our community in the most impactful ways. Your views are essential to helping us shape our future, so we’re encouraging everyone to get involved.”
