Join us on Sunday, 17th May 2026, at East Park, Wolverhampton, WV1 2BS, for a 5K family friendly event that will be bursting with colour, laughter, and community spirit—all in support of people with sight loss.

The Beacon Colour Run is back and we cannot wait to welcome you for a morning filled with colour, laughter and community spirit. Whether you choose to run, jog or walk, this event is all about coming together, having fun and making a real difference.

  • Date & Time: Mark your calendars for Sunday, 17th May 2026. Registration kicks off at 9:30 AM, with the vibrant fun starting at 10:00 AM.

  • Location: East Park, Wolverhampton, WV1 2BS

  • The 5K Fun Run: Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just fancy a colourful walk in the park, our 5K route loops around East Park three times, ensuring triple the fun and colour!

  • Colour Stations Galore: Brace yourself for 14 exhilarating colour stations! As you pass each one, our enthusiastic volunteers will shower you with vibrant, non-toxic paint powder, turning you into a moving masterpiece.

  • Capture the Moment: Our dedicated event photographer will be on-site, snapping away as you dash through clouds of colour. Perfect for those Instagram-worthy shots!

  • Ticket prices frozen at 2025 rates. We understand that the cost of living continues to affect many families, which is why we have frozen our ticket prices at 2025 rates. We want as many people as possible to be able to take part.
  • Shiny New Bling: Every participant crosses the finish line with a brand-new Colour Run medal, a keepsake to remember your colourful achievement.

Your ticket gets you to the start line, but sponsorship is what truly changes lives. By asking friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you, you will be directly supporting Beacon’s vital services for people living with sight loss.

Sponsorship incentive packages are included below, to help you maximise your fundraising and make an even bigger difference.

  • Raise £50 or more
    Receive a personalised thank you card and a Beacon pin badge.

    Receive a personalised thank you card, Beacon pin badge and a Colour Run tote bag.

Can I leave my bags or coats with staff during the event?

We recommend keeping your belongings with you, as our team won’t be able to hold items during the race.

Are children allowed to attend?

Yes! Our event is family-friendly and welcomes participants of all ages. Bring the kids, grandparents, and everyone in between!

Is the colour powder safe, and will it wash out?

It typically washes out, but we recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting a bit colourful.

Do I need to be a seasoned runner to participate?

Not at all! Our Colour Run is all about fun, whether you sprint, jog, walk, or dance your way through the course. It’s perfect for all ages and fitness levels.

Will there be bag checks?

Yes, there will be random bag checks during registration to ensure everyone’s safety. We appreciate your cooperation.

Can I bring my own drone to the event?

To ensure safety and avoid air traffic jams, we kindly ask you to leave personal drones at home. We’ve got an official event drone on duty to capture all the aerial action.

Can I bring my dog to the event?

While we love our furry friends, we ask that attendees refrain from bringing pets to the event to ensure the comfort and safety of all participants. If you were planning on bringing a guide dogs please contact us so we can pair you up with a sighted guide.
