Jake’s Story
Introducing Our Latest Superstar Fundraiser: Jake Emms!
We are absolutely thrilled to celebrate the outstanding fundraising efforts of Jake Emms. Jake is shown immense dedication by taking on the challenge of running the 10th annual Beacon Santa Run to raise vital funds to support people living with sight loss across the Black Country and South Staffordshire. His inspiring story highlights why this cause is so important to him:
“My name is Jake Emms, and I’m taking part in the Santa Run to support Beacon Centre for the Blind. The event is a 5km run taking place at West Park, Wolverhampton, on Sunday, 7th December at 10am. I’m running to raise awareness and support for this amazing local charity that helps people living with sight loss. This cause is especially close to my heart, as I have relatives who are blind, which helps me truly empathise with others facing similar challenges.”
Jake’s incredible efforts not only raise money but also raise crucial awareness of the essential work we do.
We are so grateful for Jake’s hard work, commitment, and desire to support Beacon especially in our 150th anniversary year!
People like Jake are genuine superstars who embody the spirit of community and support. Their incredible contributions help us to provide crucial services, emotional support, and opportunities for independence to individuals with sight loss and their families.
A Message from Jake:
“Every donation, no matter how small, will go towards making a real difference in people’s lives. There’s no set donation goal, as I don’t want anyone to feel pressured to give — I’m simply asking for a small contribution from anyone who can spare it to support this great cause. Thank you so much for your kindness and support!”
