What’s On November 2025

This November brings a great mix of activities: get festive with a Merry Hill shopping trip and a Baileys Cheesecake cooking session to a Bowel Screening Awareness Session to a Christmas Meal and attend the December/January Booking Session.

November Community Sessions

Book Club

Thursday 6th November

Venue: Beacon Court Communal Lounge 10:30am – 12:30pm

Join us as we love to talk all things books and always on the hunt for new authors and stories. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available.

Garden Centre Trip

Thursday 6th November

Departing Beacon at 10:30am, returning at 2:30pm

Albrighton Garden Centre, Newport Rd, Albrighton, Wolverhampton WV7 3EE

 

Swimming

Tuesday 11th November

Bert Williams Leisure Centre, Nettle folds way, Bilston WV14 0EF

Departing Beacon at 11:00am, returning at 1:30pm

 

West Park Walk

Friday 14th November

Departing Beacon at 10:30am, returning at 2:00pm

Join us for a gentle stroll around West Park, with plenty of time to enjoy the scenery and socialise. Our staff will be there throughout to assist and ensure the walk is accessible for everyone.

 

Shopping Trip

Tuesday 18th November,

Departing Beacon 10:30am, returning at 2:30pm

We will be going to Merry Hill on a shopping trip. Come along and get your Christmas essentials and enjoy some retail therapy.

 

Pop Up Cinema

Thursday 20th November

Venue: Beacon Court Communal Lounge 10:30am – 12:30pm

We will be having our pop-up Cinema in Beacon’s communal lounge. The film will be “Tomorrow Morning” which is a musical film that tells the story of a couple, Bill and Catherine, through two separate timelines, ten years apart

 

Bowling

Friday 21st November

Tenpin Dudley, Castle gate way, Dudley, DY1 1TA

Departing Beacon at 10:30am, returning at 1:30pm

Come and join us for a fun morning of ten pin bowling. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a first-time player, everyone is welcome our friendly group is always keen to find new teammates. Could you be the one to get the top score?

 

Cooking Session

Monday 24th November

Venue: Lifestyle Centre kitchen, 1:00pm – 3:00pm

We will be cooking a Baileys Christmas cheesecake in our Lifestyle centre kitchen.

The ingredient list will be enclosed in this newsletter.

 

Christmas Meal

Wednesday 26th November 11:45am – 2:30pm

We are going for a Christmas meal at the Newbridge. So please come along and enjoy a festive meal.

ÂŁ5 Deposit for your meal required by Friday 7th November

 

Booking Session

Thursday 27th November.

Venue: Beacon court’s communal lounge, 10:00am-12:00pm

Please come along to our booking session for activities throughout December and January.

 

Bantock Park Walk

Friday 28th November

Departing Beacon at 10:30am, returning at 1:30pm

Join us for a stroll around Bantock Park with plenty of time to enjoy the scenery and socialise. Our staff will be there throughout to assist and ensure the walk is accessible for everyone.

 

Bowel Screening Awareness Session

Date: Tuesday 11th November

Venue: Lifestyle Centre- social room

Time: 1:15pm-2:15pm

We have a member of the health inequalities team from the NHS coming in for session which will cover the following

 

  • Learn what bowel cancer screening is and how the FIT (Faecal Immunochemical Test) kit works

 

  • Discover the new FIT Aid Tool – a simple, accessible aid with tactile guides and audio/large-print instructions to help people with sight loss complete the test independently.

 

  • Find out how to get information in Braille, large print, or audio

 

  • Hear from our Screening Practitioners and Professionals

 

  • Ask questions and get practical, friendly advice in a relaxed space
