How We Help

Here at Beacon Vision we understand how frightening sight loss can be, whether you are newly diagnosed with a condition or it has been something you have been living with for a while.

Feelings of shock, anger and denial can be common for some people who have been told they have a visual impairment. At Beacon Vision, we focus on ability, not disability

Low Vision Assesments

Our low vision assessment and advice service enables us to give you the best possible advice and support on how to make the best use of the vision you have and explain how using some simple assistive equipment can help you live a safe and more independent. As well as this we also have access to a wide range of assistive equipment to help maintain independence, from talking clocks to the latest scanning and magnification devices.

For further information regarding low vision and the equipment available, call our low vision expert on 01902 886786 or email lowvision@beacon.org

Informing our community

As well as support for those currently living with site loss across the Black Country and Staffordshire, at Beacon we run a range of programmes to inform our community about sight loss, from our Sight Friendly Awards to the Beacon Bus.
